Madelyn Cline is an American actress born in Charleston, South Carolina. She is a professional actress known for playing the role of Sarah Cameron in the Netflix series Outer Banks in 2020. She is also seen in The Originals, Stranger Things, and Vice Principals.
Early Life
Madelyn was born on December 21, 1997, in Charleston, South Carolina, the United States to parents Mark Cline who is an engineer, and Pam Cline a real estate agent. She grew up in Charleston and went to Pinewood Preparatory School. She attended Coastal Carolina University but halfway dropped out as she wanted to pursue acting professionally and shifted to Los Angeles. Initially, her parents did not support her decision but later on accompanied her to her success.
Madelyn Cline Career
In 2008 when Madelyn went for casting calls and when she was 11 years of age, she was selected as an extra in Nailed with was renamed Accidental Love in 2015. She spent her summers in New York where she did modeling and worked for agencies and brands like T-Mobile and Sunny D. She also appeared in television commercials. In 2009 she was seen playing Matilda in Milites Christi, consistently also featured in 23rd Psalm: Redemption in 2011, Children of Wax in 2012, and in 2014, Bridge of Gap. Initially, when Madelyn moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, she had to struggle as she had no job and money with her.
She dropped out of university just to become a professional actress. She was also training to be a professional dancer, later on, she got her training in dancing and even completed an advanced ballet course. In 2016, she made her debut in television film by appearing in The Jury. Subsequently, she was also seen playing a role in Savannah Sunrise and in the Netflix hit series, Stranger Things. The same year and the next following year she also made an appearance in The Originals as Jessica and Taylor Watts in Vice Principals.

In 2020, she was cast as a lead role in Netflix’s teen drama, Outer Banks along with her on-screen and off-screen boyfriend Chase Stokes where she played the role of Sarah Cameron. She is also ready to appear in What Breaks the Ice and Once Upon a Time in Staten Island alongside Frank Grillo which be released later this year.
